Al-Muttaqun

Who are Al-Muttaqun

’this is the book (Al-Quran) whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who  are Al-Muttaqun. Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat and spend out what we have provided for them (i.e. give zakat, spend on themselves, their parents, children, wives, etc and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah’s cause – Jihad)’

Surah Al-Baqarah ( 2-3).

More Americans are reverting to Islam despite Islamaphobia.

The words of Allah are true indeed.

  • When we lie, we lie first and foremost to ourselves— which puts us on a slippery slope to hellfire.

They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not. [Quran, 2:9]

  • We don’t need to worry about guarding ourselves against deception; Allah is ever ready to protect us.

But if they intend to deceive you – then sufficient for you is Allah. It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers. [Quran, 8:62]

  • No one can ever get away with lying; in the end it will be clear who was truthful and who was not.

But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. [Quran, 29:3]

Surah Al-Kahf

Learn this beautiful doa (prayer) by heart.  It is taken from Surah Al-Kahf, the story of young men who fled for refuge to a cave.

Surah Al-Kahfi – 10

Rabbana atina miladunka rahmah, waaiyik lana min amrina roshada.

“Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way”

Beautiful Quran Recitation by Muzammil Hasballah

Masya Allah such a beautiful recitation of Surah Ar-Rahman by Muzammil Hasballah.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOdi8cxR9xY

Verses taken from Surah Al-Fatir, which means the originator of creation.

9. And it is Allah Who sends the winds, so that they raise up the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land, and revive therewith the earth after its death. As such (will be) the resurrection!

11. And Allah did create you (Adam) from dust, then from Nutfah (male and female discharge semen drops i.e. Adam’s offspring), then He made you pairs. And no female conceives or gives birth but with His knowledge. And no aged man is granted a length of life nor is a part cut off from his life (or another man’s life), but is in a Book. Surely, there is easy for Allah.

12. And two seas are not alike: this is fresh sweet and pleasant to drink, and that is salt and bitter. And from them both you ear fresh tender meat (fish), and derive the ornaments that you wear. And you see the ships cleaving (the sea water as they sail through it), that you may seek of His bounty, and that you may give thanks.

13. He merges the night into the day (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the day), and He merges the day into the night (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the day is added to the hours of the night). And He has subjected the sun and the moon: each runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allah, your Lord: His is the kingdom. And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmir (the thin membrane over the date-stone).

The beauty of this surah is the knowledge that we can learn from it. Bear in mind, the Quran was revealed more than 1400 years ago and no one had such great knowldege at that time. Doesn’t this prove that Al-Quran is the Word of God?

Justice

‘O Dawud (David)! Verily! We have placed you a successor on the earth; so judge you between men in truth (and justice) and follow not your desire – for it will mislead you from the path of Allah. Verily, those who wander astray from the path of Allah shall have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning’ (Al-Sad 38: 26; p 611)

Be Just

‘O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah as just witnesses; and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety; and fear Allah. Verily Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do’ (Al-Maidah 5:8. Pg 144).
