(ULEIC) is Reader in Human-computer Interaction (HCI) with a special focus on applying HCI methodologies in TEL, especially STEM. She has gained rich experience in online labs and cross-cultural CSCL through her involvement in many EU and national projects. She is familiar with ODA guidelines and Newton Fund, given her ongoing collaboration with academics in China and with a Colombian scholar.
Dr. Marlia Puteh
(UTM) is an Associate Professor at the Language Academy. She has been involved in several TEL research projects in Malaysian universities. Her research work lies in language communication among local and international students. She has been engaged in policy research write-up for the Malaysian government. Her research extends to the accreditation of engineering education in higher education.
Professor Paul O’Brien
(ULEIC) is Head of the Dept. Physics & Astronomy. He has over 30 years of experience as an observational astronomer. Much of Paul’s research activities are collaborative with scientists from several dozen international institutions in Europe, the USA and China. He has over 25 years of teaching experience in higher education, has been head of the undergraduate labs and used online tools for teaching.
Prof. Martin Barstow
(ULEIC) is Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Strategic Science Projects, Director of the Leicester Institute of Space and Earth Observation (LISEO) and Professor Astrophysics and Space Science. He has been involved in many space missions, a member of the UK STFC, the ESA Astronomy Working Group and UKSA Space Programme Advisory Committee. He served on RAS Council and became President in 2014.
Dr. Nigel Bannister
(ULEIC) is Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Physics & Astronomy. His areas of expertise are optics, astrodynamics, propulsion systems, mission analysis, and development of small satellite missions. He is very experienced in design and delivery of innovative teaching & learning in physics & astronomy topics.
Dr. Nurul Shazana Abdul Hamid
(UKM) is Senior Lecturer in School of Applied Physics. Her interests range from geomagnetic data analysis research into space physics study. She actively collaborates with International Center for Space Weather Science and Education of Kyushu University, Japan.
Dr. Hafizal Yahaya
(UTM) is a Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Mechanical Precision Engineering at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology. He is Faculty’s IT Manager and teaches physics and mathematics courses. His research interests are semiconductor nanostructure, MEMS, and other related areas.
Dr. Nurhasmiza Abu Hasan Sazalli
(UTM) is a lecturer at the Language Academy. Her research focuses on mobile assisted language learning where she is keen on researching the use of social media and web 2.0 for English as a Second Language learners to enhance their English language learning.
